[크리스토퍼스의 지대 개념화와 불로소득자본주의 ]
“ Rent is understood as income derived from the ownership, possession or control of scarce assets and under conditions of limited or no competition. This understanding represents an extension of the original Marxian formulation in two senses.
1) First, it entails a generalisation of asset type: the asset on which rent is earned need not be land – it might instead be intellectual property (e.g. a pharmaceutical patent), or a digital platform, or, à la Keynes, interest-bearing loan capital.
2) Second, this extended understanding incorporates recognition of the importance of the market conditions under which such income is realised.

*크리스토퍼스는 지대의 개념화에서 지대실현의 시장조건 문제를 들고 나왔다(위의 2) ). 이때 주목되는 부분. 자신의 책 (2020)에서는 2) 부분에 대해 주류 지대추구론을 수용했는데, 책출간이후에 쓴 논문에서는 그 근거로서 하비의 책, [자본의 17가지 모순]을 언급한다. 제 7장(생산과 실현의 모순적 통합 )과 10장 (독점과 경쟁)이다. 중요한 대목이다.
